Khaman Dhokla (The spongy Pillow)

For me Khaman dhokla is one of the Healthiest, delicious & Tasty gujrati cusine that is filled with a aromatic flavours.

Components Needed:-

  • 1 Cup of gram flour
  • 1 tablespoon of Suji (for spongy texture)
  • 1 tablespoon of tuemeric powder
  • Salt – according to the taste
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar or stevia (especially for swetness)
  • lemon juice 1 tablespoon
  • 1 tablespoon of baking soda(for fluffyness)
  • 2 tablespoon of Mustard oil.
  • 1 tablespoon of Mustard seeds(Also called as Rai) 
  • Approx 8-10  Curry leaves or Moringa leaves 
  • Chopped Coriander and freshly grated coconut for garnishing

Preparation Method:-

  • Take a bowl and add gramflour, Turmeric, salt, & sugar and Whisp them completely.
  • Now, add Lemon juice and water to make a perfect batter.
  • Take a Idli steamer or deep frying pan and add water to boil.
  • Before steaming add baking soda in the batter and mix it completely.
  • Now put the batter in the greasing tray and insert in the steamer.
  • In the medium flame steam it for 15-20 minutes & check it once.
  • let the batter to make it dry garnish it with coriander and grated coconut and it with Tamarind chutney.

Ragi Halwa (The super healthy breakfast)

Ragi is so healthy and and high in nutrition. I prefer this halwa most of the time. it is one of the healthiest snack for me. it gives all the comfort and helps to give me the stamina and energy.

Components Needed:-

  • 1 cup of ragi flour
  • half cup desi ghee
  • 3/4th cup of jaggery ( sugar)
  • 2 cup of milk
  • Approx 4–5 chopped almond
  • Approx 4–5 cashews
  • half tablespoon of elaichi powder

Preparation Method:-

  • Here you have to Take a pan and put the ghee in this pan
  • Here you have to add the Ragi flour and roast it on low flame for 8-10 minutes till it turns light brown.
  • Please be patiently till the jaggery dissolves in milk.
  • I will add this mixture to the Ragi and i will stir it continuously.
  • Now you have to Cook for 5-7 minutes in low flame till the halwa becomes thick and glossy.
  • After adding cardamom powder and dry fruit Ragi halwa is ready for you.

Kathal do Pyaza (Jackfruit do pyaza curry)

Components Needed:-

  • 300 grams of raw kathal (jackfruit)
  • 2 Big onions (1 sliced, 1 cubes)
  • 2 tomato puree
  • 1 tablespoon of ginger-garlic paste
  • Half tablespoon of haldi
  • 1 tablespoon of coriander powder &
    Half tablespoon red chilli powder
  • Half tablespoon of garam masala
  • Salt according to the taste
  • 3 tablespoon of khachi ghani Mustard oil
  • Approx 4-5 coriander leaves for garnish

 

Preparation Method:-

  • Boil the Jackfruit in the and put Turmeric after boiling
  • Take a pan pour some oil into the pan and fry the boiled kathal until it turns light golden.
  • Prepare the masala and by crying sliced Onion into the oil until it become light golden.
  • Add the ginger garlic paste and tomato puree and fry all the masala till the oil separates
  • In this step you have to add the spices turmeric, chilli, coriander powder and salt and mix it nicely
  • Now add kathal and onion cubes and fry it for 5-7 minutes
  • Lastly add the garam masala and coriander leaves and ready to serv
